The programmes of the Centre for Slovene as a Second and Foreign Language provide comprehensive specialist support for Slovene as a second or foreign language and for Slovene language, literature and culture, as well as promoting Slovene Studies internationally.
The Centre works under the auspices of the Department of Slovene Studies at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. Its activities are organised into eight special programmes and are co-financed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport.
The online Slovene course for beginners www.slonline.si is now available in 6 new language combinations. You can now learn Slovene through English, French, German, Croatian, Italian, Russian or Spanish. We are pleased that our online course has 6805 users from more than 134 countries!
In June, the Centre traditionally organises a two-day seminar for teachers. This year we have prepared a rich programme with lectures and workshops on phonetics, vocabulary learning, listening comprehension and bilingual literature.
